Great Kellow Farm is a family-run working farm and campsite overlooking the beautiful Polperro Bay in Cornwall. Since arriving here in 2014, we’ve been building a small, friendly farm business that combines traditional farming with welcoming visitors to experience the Cornish countryside.
Dan and Sadie moved to Great Kellow Farm in 2014 with their three children; Jacob, Eleanor and Edith. The farm is a tenanted holding of around 90 acres set just above the historic fishing village of Polperro. What started as a new chapter for our family has grown into a busy and much-loved farm, full of animals, visitors and plenty of day-to-day chaos!
Today the farm is home to around 180 sheep, 20 cows and lots of pigs, alongside chickens, ducks, ponies, dogs and cats who all play their part in farm life.
Our cattle and sheep graze outdoors all year round on grass and herbal leys, and we use regenerative farming methods to care for the land and encourage healthy soil and wildlife. Our animals are slow grown and traditionally reared on the fields surrounding the farm, overlooking the Cornish coast.
Great Kellow Farm has also long been home to a small campsite, which we have continued to develop over the past decade. It remains a popular place for families, walkers and campers looking to relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside and sea views while being just a short walk from Polperro village.
Alongside the farm and campsite, we run an on-site and online farm shop where you can buy our own farm-produced meat. Our 100% grass-fed lamb, free-range pork and pedigree Beef Shorthorn beef are available in a range of cuts including burgers, steaks, sausages, bacon, mince and roasting joints. Guests staying on the campsite can pick up meat ready to cook, and we’re happy to pack orders for visitors who want to take a taste of the farm home with them.
Our on-site shop also stocks a selection of camping essentials, making it easy for campers to pick up those little things they might have forgotten.
Great Kellow Farm is still very much a family operation, and we love sharing the farm with visitors. Whether you’re staying on the campsite, stopping by the shop or simply enjoying the view, we hope you feel the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes this place so special to us.
